In March 2009, the first women's Seven's Rugby World Cup will take place in Dubai. The USA's Women's National Training Pool plus non traveling reserves has been named. Twelve women will represent the country at this historic competition. Here's a glimpse into some of my experiences as I train, travel, eat, sleep, work, etc sevens rugby (mixed in with some 15s) over the next few months with the hopes of progressing towards World Cup 2009.
It was a great win! Good to see womens rugby is gaining its much deserved exposure. So much so that the Ultimate Rugby Sevens - http://ur7s.com/ - has named the Australian team as their team of the month. Check out the teams profile and recent photos of their win at http://ur7s.com/teams/austwomen7s
